These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, aegisshield.us (the "Site"), our services, products, and any related tools, including the Remodel Risk Assessment Quiz (the "Quiz"), ZEUS Complete Protection Bundle, HESTIA Ala-Carte Guardians, and any other offerings (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Site or Services, submitting information through the Quiz, purchasing any product, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services.

Aegis Shield provides virtual guidance and consumer protection services for homeowners undertaking remodeling or building projects. Our Services are informational only and are not a substitute for professional legal, engineering, architectural, construction, or inspection services. We are not licensed contractors, lawyers, inspectors, or architects. Results may vary, and we make no guarantees of specific outcomes.

1. Use of the Site and Services

• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use the Site or Services. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

• Account Registration: Certain features (e.g., client portal access) may require registration. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

• Prohibited Conduct: You may not use the Site or Services for illegal purposes, to violate any laws, or to transmit harmful content. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or resell our proprietary tools (e.g., Quiz scoring system). Violation may result in account termination without refund.

2. Remodel Risk Assessment Quiz

The Quiz is a free tool to provide an estimated risk score based on your self-reported information and general industry data from sources such as NAHB, BBB, HUD, and Consumer Reports. The score is for informational purposes only and is not a professional diagnosis or guarantee. We make no representations that the Quiz is 100% accurate or comprehensive. By taking the Quiz, you acknowledge that the results are estimates and agree not to hold us liable for any reliance on them.

3. Products and Services

• ZEUS Complete Protection Bundle: A one-time virtual service package priced at $2,499, including contractor vetting, contract review, design refinement, material/installation verification, inspection guidance, dispute mediation, and warranty enforcement.

• HESTIA Ala-Carte Guardians: Individual virtual services starting at $48, customizable to your needs.

• No Subscriptions: All products are one-time purchases. No recurring fees.

• Availability: Services are virtual and available nationwide in the U.S. We reserve the right to refuse service or modify offerings without notice.

• Accuracy of Information: All descriptions on the Site are based on general industry knowledge and are for illustrative purposes. We strive for accuracy but make no warranties.

4. Purchases and Payments

• Pricing: Prices are as listed on the Site and subject to change without notice. All payments are processed through Stripe or other secure processors.

• Taxes and Fees: You are responsible for any applicable taxes or fees.

• Checkout Process: By completing checkout, you confirm your purchase and agree to these Terms. All sales are final except as provided in the Money-Back Guarantee below.

• Disputes and Chargebacks: If you have an issue with a charge, you must first contact us at [email protected] to attempt resolution. You agree to provide all relevant details and cooperate in good faith. You may not initiate a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider without first allowing us 10 business days to resolve the matter. We will provide evidence of the transaction, your agreement to these Terms, and your participation in the services (e.g., client portal logs). You acknowledge that initiating a frivolous or unfounded chargeback may result in account suspension, and you agree to reimburse us for any fees or costs incurred due to such disputes. This clause is intended to comply with payment processor policies and protect against abuse.

5. Money-Back Guarantee

We stand behind our services 100%. If we genuinely fail to provide meaningful protection and value for your project, you get every dollar back—no hassle.

To qualify for a refund, you must:

• Provide all requested documents, photos, plans, contracts, and information accurately and promptly.

• Respond to our communications and requests within 48 hours.

• Actively follow the next steps and recommendations provided in your client portal.

Refunds are not available if:

• You did not fully participate in the process (e.g., missed uploads, ignored requests, skipped recommended actions).

• You proceeded with a decision or contractor that we clearly identified and documented as high-risk.

• The issues arose from factors outside our control (e.g., contractor fraud after we provided a clean vetting report, or changes you made against our advice).

• For ZEUS clients: You reached or passed the midpoint of the service process (completion of the Inspection & Warranty Phase or equivalent milestone) and continued without raising concerns at that stage. Continuing past this point demonstrates satisfaction with the guidance and protection provided up to that milestone.

• You attempt to abuse the policy (e.g., obtaining full deliverables then claiming dissatisfaction).

Refund Process:

• Email [email protected] within 30 days of receiving your final project record or service completion (whichever occurs first).

• Include a brief explanation of why you believe we failed to protect your project.

• We will review your portal activity, communications, and milestone progress in good faith within 10 business days.

• If approved, full refund to original payment method.

This guarantee protects honest homeowners who truly didn’t receive value, while preventing abuse by those who don’t hold up their end of the partnership or who only express dissatisfaction after receiving the majority of deliverables. We only succeed when you succeed—participation is required.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, mythic-themed names (e.g., "ZEUS," "HESTIA," "Talos"), the Quiz, scoring systems, and tools, is owned by Aegis Shield and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, distribute, or use our IP without written permission.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Site and Services are provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or Services, including any reliance on the Quiz or recommendations. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services.

We do not guarantee specific results from our Services or the Quiz. Remodeling or building outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control (e.g., contractor performance, client decisions). Always consult licensed professionals for binding advice.

8. Privacy Policy

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Erie County, Pennsylvania, under American Arbitration Association rules, or in small claims court if applicable. You waive class action rights. Governing law: Pennsylvania.

10. Miscellaneous

• Changes: We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (to the address associated with your account) or by posting the updated Terms on the Site with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site or Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
